The intense wildfire has been named “Hawk Fire” and has spread over an area of about 60 square kilometers (23 square miles), causing injuries to at least seven people and demolishing more than 32 houses. As the situation improved due to the favorable winds, firefighters have been able to gain control of 27 percent of the fire, enabling the local authorities to ease their evacuation warning affecting about 63,000 people. This wildfire is the third of its kind in the area in just two weeks, after being caused by humans.
